Letter from Mr. Gibson
November 24, 2003

WOW! What an exciting run! This has been the most exciting marching season of my teaching career ... and it's not over yet! I will try to say "thank yous" knowing I will miss someone or some group.

But here goes... THE most important group, our kids. We talked about goals and achievement... pushing to our full potential. Kids, I can't tell you how proud I am of you! You are AWESOME! I hope you had as much fun as I did. It wouldn't be me if I did not talk about the future. As we talked after North Texas Championships, remember how it feels and set your goals higher for next year. You are a part of something spectacular in Allen.

All of our student leaders deserve medals of honor and courage! Remember when we had our first meeting and the goals we ALL set? Thank you for believing in yourselves. You never know what an inspiration you are to us adults. Thanks for your help...
Love ya !

Staff, thank you! Best team ever! We continue to be challenged with more kids and "once in a life time" opportunities. Thank you for embracing them with positive attitudes and high expectations. We DO have the best kids in the world!

Parents, what can I say! When people ask "How in the world do you corral that mob?" I always respond, "We have GREAT kids and GREAT parents!" Your selfless attitudes on potty patrol, loading, sewing, toting, lifting, consoling, and even a little burping and diapering..are contagious! Thank you! I wonder at times .."why?" And each time there will be a parent surface with an answer similar to, if not word for word... "We just love being around the Escadrille." 'nough said. However, I know there is much more. You want our kids to have as positive experience as possible! Thank you! (Pit Bulls- you are a different breed! Yall could be considered "SICK!" I love watching your machine work!)

The organization factor is amazing. Remember I refer to our group at times as a small city! Booster board, you continue to do some of the most "thankless" jobs. We are forced by sheer numbers, to continue to be more efficient and supportive each year. Thank you for the MANY extra hours planning and working out details to make all of the jobs easier. While relations get stained at times, we always keep our eyes on our prize possessions .. our kids! You are the BEST! Kay, your leadership has been an inspiration to us all.

Escadrille Family, not just the 500+ students, but the HUNDREDS of parents and supporters: Thank you for your sacrifice. "You don't get somethin' for nothing." The price you have paid will brand AWESOME, unforgettable times in our memories for life!

Now what? .. We continue establishing ourselves as doing what we do the best we can do it! As we go into our own "seasons" (concert band, Drill Team competitions, Winter Guard..) I challenge you again: give it your all... every day, be passionate, be the BEST you can be! HAVE FUN.. and love each other.

Congratulations on an OUTSTANDING Fall and let's "get after it!"
