Charles Pennington

Director Charles Pennington, Associate Director of Bands at Allen High School is currently in his fifteenth year of teaching and seventh year at Allen High School where he organizes and directs the 600 member Allen Escadrille as well as conducting the Symphonic I concert band during the spring semester. Mr. Pennington has taught at Lamesa Middle School and High School in Lamesa, TX and Crockett Jr. High in Odessa, TX..

Mr. Pennington was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. He attended Eisenhower High School, and Southwest Oklahoma State University where he received a Bachelor's in Music Education. He is a member of Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Band Masters Association, Phi Mu Alpha (a professional music fraternity), and is listed in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers: Honoring Our Nation's Most respected Teachers and was recently cited as an “Educator of Distinction” by the National Society of High School Scholars. He specializes in the Trombone, Baritone and clarinet.

In rare moments of free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his lovely wife Nicole (Curtis Middle School Orchestra Director), and their two adorable sons, Jacob and Kyle.
