2002 Area C Marching Contest

This year's U.I.L. 5A Area C marching competition was held at Mesquite Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 26, 2002.

The Escadrille performed great and as usual got the audience on their feet with excitement. They got about as close to going to State as you can come and were chosen as the second alternate for the U.I.L. State Marching Band competition.

CONGRATULATIONS, ESCADRILLE!!

Area C invites all the bands from Regions 3, 4, 21, and 24 that earned a First Division rating at their respective region contests. Area C comprises geographically North and East Texas beginning with Mesquite and Garland. These are great bands, color guards, and drill teams and each performance represents thousands of hours of work. If you would like to read more about how the contest is judged, you may click here to see the official U.I.L. rules of competition and judging.

The University Interscholastic League regulates interschool competition among most public schools in Texas. The league's homepage can be found at www.uil.utexas.edu.

State Marching Band Contest

6 bands were chosen to represent Area C at the U.I.L. State competition to be held in Waco on Monday, November 4. There are 7 total regions in Texas. State 4A and 5A Marching Band Contests are held in alternate years. The next opportunity for the Escadrille to compete in the Area and State Marching Contests will be 2004.
